About this Portal

The Grant Accomplishments Reporting Portal (GARP) is a gateway for state, tribal, community and other local-level federal grant recipients to demonstrate how they support landowners and resource managers to help sustain the nation’s forests and grasslands, protect communities from wildland fire and restore fire-adapted ecosystems. GARP supports tracking and leveraging data to quantify and geospatially demonstrate the collective federal, state, tribal and local investment in the implementation of the National Cohesive Wildland Fire Management Strategy. This powerful data aggregation initiative includes the development of several key data products, including the National Fuels Treatments Database and the National Fire Departments Boundaries database.

Partners

The GARP is the result of a synergistic partnership between the USDA Forest Service, the US Department of the Interior, the National Association of State Foresters, and the Timmons Group. This alliance leverages the strengths and expertise of its members to focus attention and action on using technology and data to track the implementation of the National Cohesive Wildland Fire Management Strategy.
